Ms #Goldy #Malhotra, Director, #ManavRachna Academic Staff College and Administration, #MRIS, focusing on Comprehensive Child Development in her heartwarming speech at the #Mail #Today #Education #Conclave 2016Udaan 2016: FMS Orientation - Day II ‘Udaan 2016’ the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Orientation programme of MRIU received an overwhelming response on Day II from the students of MBA, MA (Applied Psychology), BA (Applied Psychology) and B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) programmes.
 The FMS Orientation Day-II programme began with the introduction of FMS’s esteemed, highly qualified and experienced Faculty. The aim of this session was to familiarise the students with their faculty members. The Faculty members were very eloquently introduced by Dr Chavi, Dean FMS, by presenting their achievements, experience and responsibilities. The individual Faculty members then shared their thoughts with the students as to how they should approach their academic and holistic development journey in FMS, which was well appreciated by the students.

The faculty introduction was followed by the ice breaking session for the students. The purpose of the session was to make students express themselves and interact with each other before they meet in the classrooms. The students then were organized in groups of 8-10. Each group was guided by a faculty mentor. The groups than presented their expectations and commitment plan on starting their new life at Faculty of Management Studies.The students developed presentation themes and displayed their creativity and presentation skills with a lot of enthusiasm . Each group came up with an unique idea and also displayed their talent through skit, dance, mimicry and other such fun activities.

At the end, Dr. Chavi appreciated the students' effort and shared her thoughts on each of their ideas and wished them success and a great academic career ahead.‘Udaan 2016’, the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Orientation programme of MRIU students entered it’s 3rd successful day.

Orientation program commenced with an English proficiency workshop, where student displayed their English language communication skills and also showed interest in Manav Rachna Centre for Foreign Language to hone their skills in Globally demanded foreign language like German, French etc. 
The students were walked through the functions and role of various key student support departments of MRIU. 
Director CRC,Wg.Cdr P.K. Sinha introduced the MR Corporate Resource Centre. He gave a brief about placement prospects .Mr. Vikram -  Librarian gave a virtual tour to the new students regarding various library resources like books, journals, magazines and also about the technical and online resources and support. Ms. Gauri, Head, CDC- Corporate Development Centre spoke about the Career Development Centre. She advocated the vital role of soft skills, communication skills for employability. She encouraged the students to take initiative and advantage of the MRIU personality development and soft skills programs. Prof. Kilam, Dean Student Welfare, announced several cultural events that are to follow at MR, which provide a platform to students of FMS to enhance their creativity and talent.Post-lunch session began with the presentation from Accendere about the research function of Manav Rachna. The speaker also briefed the students about how can they get started with the research and also about the support lended by the University.

The presentation was followed by the most awaited activity by the students –The Treasure Hunt. The game required everyone to get involved and explore clues! Thereafter students were readily engaged in searching the clues one after the other. Udaan 2016, Day-III finished with the winning team taking away the goodies hamper.#LearnSomethingNewEveryday at #ManavRachna. Manav Rachna International University has always been a forerunner in promoting its students to newer frontiers of learning. A step in this direction was taken up by Faculty of Applied Science (FAS), Manav Rachna International University. A MoU was signed between Gerlev Institute of Physical education and Sports Academy, Denmark and MRIU. 
The Gerlev Institute of Physical education and Sports Academy, Denmark was represented by Dr. Finn Berggerlv, President, Gerlev Institute of Physical Education and Sports Academy while Dr Prashant Bhalla, President Manav Rachna Educational Institutions did the honors on behalf of MRIU.
Both Gerlev Institute of Physical education and Sports Academy and MRIU agreed to share a commitment towards high quality education in health, sports, therapies and nutrition. Joint efforts will also be undertaken to promote physical activity and health of the school children. 
The two premier Institutes will participate in joint seminars, workshops and publication activities. The mutual agreement will enhance the contribution of the two Institutions towards International understanding and cooperation between Denmark and India. ”
Dr Finn shared the policies of Gerlev Academy and work profile while interacting with Faculty of Applied Science and Centre of Excellence and Sports Science and Rehabilitation. While interacting with Dr N.C. Wadhwa, Vice-Chancellor, MRIU, the two agreed to conduct mutual research for the benefit of society at large.
Dr Finn also addressed a gathering of FAS students and Faculty on the topic ‘Active Living—the Challenge for the Young Ones’ in which he talked about the need for physical activity and sports as a tool for a better society. He stated further, “Gerlev Academy is walking the talk and finding ways to stratgise on health promotion. Given MRIU’s impressive sports legacy, both the institutions are on common ground.” Dr Finn also quoted WHO guidelines on health#Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI), well-known brand and #GlobalLeader in Electric and Electronic Equipment across India with a large distribution channel which is expanding to more cities, shares its calendar with #MRIU providing #training to students nominated by MRIU on Automation using PLC.

MEI provides the training material like manuals / catalogues to the students and supports in conducting seminar/demonstration/projects on automation technologies and product at the premises of MRIU.

MEI also organizes Mitsubishi Electric Cup at national level which gives a platform to the students to present their innovative skills and also supports them in implementation of their projects ideas. Apart from guiding them, it provides necessary products to be used in the projects. The best projects are rewarded suitably with cash prizes of up to Rs.1 lac.

MEI also conducts workshop on various modules of automation. These workshops are certified by MEI. Till date 4 workshops have been conducted in MRIU and 6 in MEI, Gurgaon. MEI holds webinars on automation on regular basis for staff and students to update them.

MEI has supplied IQR set up amounting to 24 lakhs. It is based on the latest technology used in automation. At present it is used by Honda & Suzuki, but in the near future it will replace the existing technology, therefore, our students trained on these kits will have better employability opportunities and consequently brighter careers.Manav Rachnna family is pleased to support The First Anniversary of The Largest Plantation drive by Faridabad Navchetna Trust. In order to expose new media students  to the techniques of gathering news, writing news stories and  gathering clues for a story, a lecture by Ms. Geetanjali Gayatri, Special Correspondent, Haryana Bureau, The Tribune (Chandigarh), had been arranged. 
During her lecture of one and half hours. Ms. Geeyanjali Gayatri explained the detailed techniques of gathering news,  and padding them.

It is a matter of pride that the students of Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities participated in a talk show on 'Political Murders' organized by Lok Sabha TV (LSTV) on 19th July, 2016 at Parliament House. It was indeed a great exposure and practical learning experience for the students of Media Studies, where they learnt about various aspects of the subject.

The eminent experts like Manohar Joshi (Senior Journalist), Harshvardhan (Political Researcher) enlightened the audience with their views. The whole talk was focused on how hatred and difference of ideologies have lead to political volunteers being killed in states like Kerala and West Bengal. The panelists discussed the effects of vandalism on society. Students were also shown a documentary on Political Murders and vandalization by party volunteers.  The students participated by asking meaningful and relevant questions on the subjects to the experts. The anchor of the program Mr. Manoj Sharma provided ample opportunities to the youth to satisfy their intellectual queries.

One of the eminent guests was of the view that arrogance and manpower is leading to fights between political parties. He emphasized that youths should be motivated to come into politics as they play an important role in society. Students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, Manav Rachna International University experienced the art of organizing and participating in such programs. The experts tried to satisfy their curiosity and made them understand about the present Political system. They were optimistic about the decent political scenario in the future and assured students that the glory of Indian Politics will be reestablished and the coming generation will play a major role in this regard. The 5th Mail Today Education Conclave ended amidst much enthusiasm and optimism following the speech of Shri #Prakash #Javadekar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Human Resource Development. He announced that the New Education Policy had aready been uploaded on the websitte and that people were welcome to give their opinions and suggestios for ameliorating the New Education Policy. Hon'ble HRD Minister stated that education should figure prominently on the national agenda and can go a long way towards the nation building process. He further

Faridabad Navchetna Trust is perpetuating its Green Mission by conducting ‘The First Anniversary of The Largest Plantation’ drive in Faridabad under the chairmanship and able guidance of Sh. Vipul Goel, MLA Faridabad. The drive is based on a ‘Adopt a Fruit Tree’ mission. 
It may be recalled that Faridabad Navchetna Trust had organised one of ‘The Largest Plantation’ drives in India on July 25, 2015, in which citizens of Haryana planted two lakh saplings in three hours in a single day – registering Faridabad in the Limca Book of Records! Cut to the present, Faridabad Navchetna Trust is all set to celebrate the First Anniversary of The Largest Plantation on July 23 and July 24, 2016 by encouraging citizens of Faridabad to ‘Adopt a Fruit Tree’—from among a variety of fruit saplings, such as Mango, Guava, Jackfruit, Lemon, Mulberry (Shehtoot), Jamun, Fig (Anjeer), Amla (Indian Gooseberry) and Chiku—in its efforts to make Faridabad green and pollution free. 
The initiative by Faridabad Navchetna Trust is being welcomed by Schools, Colleges, Corporates and Residents with ‘green fingers’ who are inclined to make Faridabad healthy and beautiful for generations to come.
